Bullfrog Spas and Hot Tub Music

Inner-Page-Hero

There are any number of reasons to enjoy a dip in your Bullfrog spa. You might be a bit uptight and stressed after a tough day at the office or you might be throwing a little party with a few close friends. Whatever the reason or occasion for sitting in your Bullfrog hot tub is that you might want a little music to play while enjoying your soak. In fact, you might want specific music depending on your mood and the context of your hot tub experience.

But before you start picking and choosing the tunes you want to play when you are in your hot tub or throwing a hot tub party, you must consider ways in which you will play this music. There are any number of devices and ways you can enjoy tunes while soaking in your hot tub.

Boat Stereo

One of the best ways to enjoy music while in a spa is with a boat stereo installed on the side of your hot tub. These types of stereos are waterproof and are easily attached to any type of hot tub. Most modern boat stereos sound great and offer Bluetooth and other options so that you can connect other devices and rock out.

Boombox

A boombox is another option when it comes to ways to listen to music while in your hot tub. There are several modern boomboxes that are quite high tech and sound great. A good boombox lets you listen to music on the radio, CD player, MPe3s and even through Bluetooth. All you need to do is set up your boombox close enough to the hot tub so everybody can hear the great music you’re playing.

iPad, iPhone, iPod, Smartphone

Some people prefer the intimacy of listening to music using a headset or headphones. These portable devices are perfect for such an application. Just make sure you don’t drop your phone in the water, it could cause serious damage.

Pool Sound System

If you prefer something floating around in the water blasting tunes, there are pool systems that you can use. These are simplistic speakers that float on the water so you can easily adjust the volume without leaving the hot tub. These speakers come in a variety of styles and colors and easily connect with a variety of smartphones and other devices.

Shower Speaker

Shower speakers are the perfect solution for the budget shoppers who want music for their hot tub. These are designed for the shower, but work just as well for hot tub applications.

Now that you have ways in which to play music, here are a few songs you need to have in your hot tub party music lineup. These are our favorites of course, you don’t have to agree with what we like.

Hot Tub Lyrics

We think any song, from any artist who uses hot tub in the lyrics is good enough to be played while you are in a hot tub. Fior example, Bob Dylan’s Sally Sue Brown, Hats Off by Primus and 50 Ways to Say Goodbye by Train are all acceptable. There are other songs with hot tub in the lyrics by artists like Blake Shelton, Whitney Houston, Weird Al Yankovic, Sammy Hagar and Van Halen.

Relaxing Grooves

If you are sitting alone in your hot tub after a rough day at work, you will want to fill your headphones with some relaxing grooves. There was a study not all that long ago about relaxing music. The study determined that the most relaxing song is “Weightless” by a band called Marconi Union. In fact, this song is said to be even more relaxing than a massage or a cup of tea. But if this isn;t your cup of tea, there are different types of relaxing songs you can play.  Here are a few of our favorites:

“Thank You”- Dido

“America”-Simon and Garfunkel

“Into the Mystic”- Van Morrison

“Summer Breeze”-Seals and Croft

“Fire and Rain”-James Taylor

“No Other Way”-Jack Johnson

“Landslide”- Fleetwood Mac

“Aqueous Transmission”-Incubus

And anything by Loreena McKennitt.

Party Time

When you have friends over for a social gathering, you want to play upbeat, fun music that people can really get into. You want to avoid playing too much of one band or too much from a certain time period or genre. For example, playing some Van Halen is cool, but never play the entire Women and Children First album. It’s acceptable to play some 1980s hair bands, but your entire playlist should not include only songs by White Lion, Poison and Cinderella. Only one of those band is sufficient.

Also, it makes perfect sense to include music from all decades, so go easy on the tunes from the 1970s and 1980s and make sure you throw some new stuff in the mix. This does not mean you have to include Justin Bieber or Ed Sheeran.

Romantic

The hot tub is the perfect place to meet up with that someone special for an evening of romance. Of course, if you will want everything to be perfect, including the music. While there are any number of musicians and bands you can turn to for the most romantic music, all you really need to do is cue up some Barry White.

Oh, and don’t forget the candles.

And there you have it, a list of music you need for your next hot tub adventure.
