Hot Tubs are the Perfect Place for Romantic Interludes
Whether you are a man or a woman, old or young, as humans we all have this basic need for human contact and intimacy. That is, we thrive on connection and touch with each other. This intimacy occurs when we take a break from the stresses of the day and decide to relax together. In fact, hot tubs are the perfect place for these romantic interludes to take place.
Enjoying each other’s company in a soothing environment, like a hot tub, often leads to romance, or, in some cases, a nap. Which is why you need to plan your hot tub date to increase your chances of a favorable outcome.
Planning a date in your hot tub can be a creative and enjoyable affair. Whether you and your significant other are gathering in the hot tub to celebrate a special occasion or just a romantic evening, you need some ideas to ensure the sparks will fly.
Invitation
Even if you have been married several years, don’t take a romantic evening in the hot tub for granted. A romantic evening in the hot begins with an invitation. Look, it sounds cheesy, but it will set the tone for the evening. A verbal invitation is fine, but words on paper mean so much more. Here is an example:
Please join me at 8 p.m. in the hot tub located on the back patio for an evening of refreshing drinks and appetizers, a gentle massage and some really groovy tunes. Swimsuits are optional.
RSVP with a soft whisper in my ear.
Heck, with an invitation like that, how can he possibly be turned down?
Food Preparation
We suggest a light menu as you don’t want anything weighing you both down, if you know what we mean. Colorful fruit kabobs are always a good idea as they are light and healthy. Shrimp is always a good go-to hot tub food.
And don’t forget the beverages. Whether you choose wine, champagne or water, make sure plenty is available.
Lighting
Soft lamps or twinkle lights are important for romantic ambiance. If you can’t get lights set up for whatever reason, candles will do nicely.
Music
Music is a great way to further enhance the mood. A romantic interlude in the hot tub calls for something a little more subtle than your favorite Motley Crue CD. Your best bet is to create a mix CD with songs that you both like. If you can’t do that, download some Barry White from iTunes.
The Massage
One of the most important considerations when planning a romantic evening in the hot tub is the massage. There is little doubt that when you give a massage, you are probably all thumbs with no sense of purpose and only one goal in mind. You will have much better luck reaching your goal if the massage you give is tender and genuine. We suggest you use the internet and browse massage videos posted by massage therapists and yoga instructors. And we are quite sure you can find massage moves designed just for interludes in the hot tub.
Good luck.
