If you are a fan of the NFL, it is likely you will watch the Super Bowl this year. If you have a hot tub, you enjoy it as much as you can. So then it makes perfect sense to utilize your hot tub during the Super Bowl. Might we suggest you throw a hot tub Super Bowl party? How awesome would that be? Well, it would be awesome if done correctly.

You simply cannot just invite some friends over, crank up the hot tub, serve Pringles potato chips and Coors Light and expect everybody to have fun. No sir, if you want a proper hot tub Super Bowl party, you need to plan it out. This is where we can help, we are, after all, experts in the field of hot tub parties.

Show Your Colors

Find yourself some LED lighting options in the colors of the team you will be rooting for. If the Patriots win this week, then white and blue lights are appropriate. That is, if you are a Patriot fan. If you wish to remain team neutral, find LED lights that represent both teams.

Host Your Own Game

Use pool noodles to create goal posts on either side of your spa and supply inflatable footballs so your guests can enjoy a game of their own. A turf setting can be created with a fake grass rug with painted yard lines for effect.

Party Food

Serving Pringles potato chips at any party is lame, but especially so for a hot tub Super Bowl party. What your hot tub Super Bowl party needs are hot tub Super Bowl party foods.

The first item on your hot tub Super Bowl party food list is wings. That’s right, you need wings and plenty of them. Believe us when we say that upwards of 95 percent of Super Bowl parties will be serving wings. OK, we kind of made that up. But rest assured, successful Super Bowl parties have one thing in common; they all serve chicken wings. OK, we made that up as well.

In addition to tasty wings, have your table filled with such goodies like shrimp kabobs, chips and guacamole, chicken tacos, BBQ ribs, mozzarella sticks, bacon-wrapped hot dogs, pulled pork sliders, pizza, loaded potato skins and 7-layer dip. You get the idea.

Of course, if you are one of those health nuts, you will probably want to tone that list down a bit. A healthier approach to your hot tub Super Bowl party food includes tofu and veggie kabobs, Garden burgers, green beans in a blanket, spinach artichoke dip, zucchini fries and tempeh sliders on whole wheat buns.

Beverages

A case of Coors Light will not propel your hot tub Super Bowl party to epic levels. In fact, it might just knock it down to OK. If you want to impress your guests, serve a variety of drinks for the occasion. Skip the Coors Light in favor of some local flavor. No doubt there are at least a few local breweries in your area who offer quality beer. A couple of bottles of wine won’t hurt either. Just make sure they don’t come in a box.

You also need to consider those who do not partake in adult beverages by offering flavored iced tea, limeade and Italian soda.

Other Considerations

Make sure you have plenty of towels for guest’s comfort. Besides, you don’t want them dripping wet and wandering through the house searching for the bathroom. You also want to have music cued up in case the game is a blowout and guests lose interest in the game.
