Bullfrog Spas and Spiders
Spiders of all types and sizes will make their way into your home. And when you spot one scurrying across your floor, you have to kill it. If not, you will sit in your hot tub wondering when and where it will appear again. It will haunt you. It does not matter if the spider is harmless or beneficial to your garden, all spiders must be killed.
In most households across the United States, all family members have jobs that they are responsible for. For example, dad is in charge of chopping down trees, mowing the lawn and taking out the garbage. Mom is in charge of cooking, folding the fitted sheets and kissing boo-boos. However, it is unlikely that one person alone is in charge of killing spiders.
This makes sense because spiders can appear at any time and just about anywhere. You might be in the bathroom when you spot one, in the kitchen or even sitting in the hot tub. You could be the only one at home when you spot one of these eight-legged monsters. At which point, you have no choice but to be your own hero. So it is in your best interest to know the best ways to kill a spider.
Spa Max, your source for Bullfrog spas, offers the best ways to kill a spider.
Vacuum Cleaner
If you want to avoid getting very close to the spider, use a vacuum cleaner to get rid of it. Of course, this might prove to be rather difficult as you have to stop whatever you are doing and go locate the vacuum. After you lug the vacuum out of the closet and plug it in, there is a good chance that the spider is gone.
Smack it with a Newspaper
Back in the day, people used newspapers to line bird cages, discipline dogs and kill spiders. Unfortunately, newspapers are not as prevalent as they once were. In fact, there are probably a few Millennials out there who have never seen a newspaper.
Squish it
One of the most common and easiest ways to kill a spider is by simply squishing it with a piece of tissue paper. If you are super brave, you can use your bare hand. After squishing the spider, you get rid of it by flushing it down the toilet.
Get a Cat
Cats are fearless and majestic beasts that are always plotting to kill all sorts of pests inside your house. Unless you are dealing with a poisonous spider, let the cat do the dirty work for you.
Fire
One of the most unique ways to kill spiders is with the use of fire. But no matter how cool it is killing spiders with fire, we cannot in good conscience recommend this method.
Using fire to kill a spider can be dangerous and you need to be super careful. If the spider is located on a propane tank or running around on something that is flammable, like your underwear piled on the floor, using fire is totally out of the question.
Hairspray
You can always douse that pesky spider with hairspray. The chemicals in hairspray will render the spider immobilized and eventually kill it. If this doesn’t work, at least the spider will have a good hair day.
Under the Cup
If you happen to be carrying around an empty cup and you see a spider, you can always trap the spider under it. Of course, it will take some time for the spider to die, but you do eliminate the immediate threat. Just make sure you leave a note on the cup letting people know what lurks beneath it.
Feet of Fury
If you are wearing shoes or slippers when you encounter a spider, you can always just stomp it to death. Of course, spiders are tough and you don’t want to take any chances, so you need to do more than stomp on it once. To ensure the deed is done properly, you must engage your feet of fury. You must engage in rapid-fire stomping. This is done by stomping down on the spider with multiple stomps. It looks like a dance you just made up.
After the spider is dead, go get in the hot tub and relax, a reward for a job well done. If you don’t have a hot tub, go buy one at Spa Max.
