As with anybody else, you likely suffer your fair share of stress during a typical work day. Even if you are lucky enough to hold a relatively stress-free job, you might fall victim to traffic jams, moody girlfriends or unruly, noisy kids at the grocery store. The point we are trying to make is that we all suffer stress to some extent. And for owners of hot tubs in Southern California, a quick soak is a great way to relieve the day’s stress. While soaking in a hot tub is a great way to relieve stress, there is more you can do to relax.

Set up a spa caddy in your hot tub for a few essentials you need to help you relax. Your spa caddy can be used to hold aromatherapy candles so you can enjoy the sweet smells of sandalwood, vanilla or jasmine. You could also plant aromatic herbs like lavender or rosemary around your hot tub. You can remove any unwanted sounds by using a stereo system to play classical or other relaxing music. You could also consider having nature sounds like a spring rain or crashing waves take you even further away from reality. You might want to even consider hanging a sheer fabric around your hot tub to make your oasis even more private.

Once your spa is set up the way you like, take a seat in your hot tub, get comfortable and close your eyes. Start with some deep breathing and concentrate on becoming aware of all the sensations you feel.

And this is how you rid yourself the stresses of the day.
