There Will Be Fans Sitting in Their Hot Tubs Over the Next Month Watching Playoff Baseball

Inner-Page-Hero

There will no doubt be many baseball fans sitting in their hot tubs over the next month watching playoff baseball. In fact, there are many sports fans out there who would be so bold as to say that baseball is a better sport than, say, football. Before you slam down on your keyboard in anger, just hear us out. While football is a fine sport in its own right, baseball is far superior. We shall prove it.

You Can Watch It All Week Long

Football has branched out over the years, with NFL games on every Thursday now in addition to Sunday and Monday games, but you can watch baseball all glorious seven days of the week. So when there is nothing but garbage on the television on Tuesday night, you can rest assured there is a baseball game you can be watching. And there is nothing more satisfying than listening to an afternoon game while pretending to write that report at work.

Longer Schedule/More Games

The NFL currently features 17 weeks of regular season games, that’s 16 games for each team. That’s really not all that many games to watch. Baseball season is a whole different matter with a 162 game season that spans six months, from April through the end of September. Now that is a whole lot of games to watch!

Stats

Sure, there are statistics in football, but nothing can compare to the stats in baseball. Stat junkies can literally spend years pursuing all the dynamic statistics in baseball. Statistics, incorporated with the rich and long history of baseball combine for fantastic studies of the sport. But hey, football does have that awesome quArterback rating.

Play Time

If you sit down and watch an entire football game, you are treated to just over 12 minutes of actual action. The rest of the time you are watching replays and huddling offenses while listening to color commentators talk about “deflategate” or how Tom Brady is the best quarterback ever. And nothing is more upsetting than coming back from a commercial break to watch a kickoff, only to be sent to another commercial right after.

Different Ballparks

All football fields are the same, whether you are playing at Lambeau Field or Mile High. But baseball fields aren’t restricted to a rectangular playing surface and every field has its own uniqueness. You never hear a baseball fan say that if you have seen of baseball field you have seen them all.

But even if you disagree with us you still have to admit that watching playoff baseball in your hot tub is pretty awesome.
