Your Spa Store in Corona and Resolutions
When Christmas is over, your focus switches from gifts, tinsel and eggnog to losing weight and eating healthy. That’s right, it is time to write those New Year’s resolutions.
New Year’s resolutions range from losing 20 pounds to being nicer to relatives we don’t like. Many of you will play it safe and set goals that are all too easy to achieve. Others will shoot the moon and make resolutions that are nearly impossible to keep.
With a success rate of less than 10%, New Year’s resolutions aren’t exactly realistic terms to commit to. As the weeks and months pass, your motivation will dwindle and you will most certainly sacrifice your ideals and give into real-life demands.
And while you will start out amped up and with the best of intentions, you will likely break your resolutions and suffer feelings of guilt and failure.
So instead of committing to lowering your intake of alcohol and losing weight, make goals that are fun and rewarding. After all, it will be next to impossible to be nice to that relative you don’t like.
Spa Max, your spa store in Corona, offers a twist on New Year’s resolutions.
Take and Read the Fliers
If you have spent any time in an area with heavy foot traffic, there is a good chance somebody has offered you a flier. What that flier is you have no idea because you have never read one. In fact, most of you have probably never even grabbed one.
You know exactly what we are talking about, you notice the person handing out fliers up ahead and do your best to avoid eye contact. You might even purposely walk as far around them as possible.
Not any more. This year, resolve to take every flier that is shoved in your face. Better still; resolve to take and read every flier you encounter. And even if the events on the flier don’t pique your interest, you are making the person handing out the fliers day.
Stop Killing Small Businesses
We might not have a whole lot of sympathy for Sears or Kmart, but there are plenty of other companies out there that deserve your business. For example, local bookstores are getting harder and harder to find and that’s a travesty.
So skip out on ordering the things you need on Amazon and go buy a book from your local bookstore instead.
Also, skip out on going to Applebee’s or Chili’s and opt for a family-run eatery instead.
Try Some Weird Food
In all likelihood, you are in a food rut. That is, you basically eat the same things throughout the week and haven’t tried anything new in a long while. We suggest you forgo the chicken sandwich from Chick-Fil-A and try some sea urchin instead.
Actually Watch Commercials
Television ads are annoying and you avoid them as best as you can. But commercials force you to take a break from your binge-watching and allow you to do a few push-ups or read a new article. The only problem is that when a commercial comes on, you bolt to the kitchen and refresh your beverage, head outside to smoke or grab something to eat, and it is usually never a healthy choice.
Make a resolution to watch television commercials and it could be the most healthy thing you do all year.
Wave Fellow Motorists on at 4-Way Stops
Have you found yourself speeding up to the 4-way stop in hopes of getting there first so you don’t have to wait for anybody? You do, you are just too ashamed to admit it.
This year, resolve to not do that anymore and wave anybody who may get there a split-second after you to go before you. It will make you feel good about yourself.
Master Three Great Jokes
There is nothing more empowering than executing the perfect joke just at the right time and right place.
Take the time to learn three perfect jokes. Practice them day and night until you have them memorized and mastered. When the opportunity arises, stand up and shine.
Buy a Hot Tub
You have been thinking about it for a long time. Admit it, you would love to have a hot tub. Let 2020 be the year you finally go to Spa Max and buy a hot tub.
